VOTING RESOURCES

Check out the following resources to help eligible voters get to the ballot box:

NEED A VOTER ID?

VOTERIDERS

VoteRiders’ mission is to ensure that no eligible voter is prevented from casting a ballot that counts due to voter ID laws, either directly from lacking acceptable ID or indirectly because of voter confusion. VoteRiders educates voters and assists citizens to secure their voter ID. We inspire and support organizations, volunteers, and communities to sustain such voter ID education and assistance efforts.

Registered voters in Texas need to confirm their identity with photo ID when they vote in person.

If you don’t have an acceptable photo ID, there may be other ways you can confirm your identity.

NEED A RIDE TO THE POLLS?

RIDESHARE2VOTE AWARE

RIDESHARE2VOTE AWARE increases voter turnout and combats voter suppression. We turn out low-propensity voters through repeat contact and a safe round-trip ride to the polls both during early voting and on Election Day.

NEED VOTING INFORMATION?

LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS

RIO GRANDE VALLEY
We fight to increase voters’ access to the polls, including expanding early voting, automatic and online voter registration.

Our volunteers have been behind some of the most important voting reform victories in recent years. From fighting for expanded early voting, to enacting automatic and online voter registration and more, we are working to modernize our voting systems and streamline the voting process. We also work to ensure compliance with laws like the Voting Rights Act (VRA) and the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), which have helped millions of Americans access their right to vote.

AACT NOW

AACT began in order to forge a single organization that will improve voter registration and voter turnout in the community.

For over 50 years, South Texas has been well below the state average for voter turnout. Reaching the community in a meaningful way has proven to be a difficult task to many in state and out of state organizations. As a result, a group of concerned leaders from the South Texas community came together to form the Advocacy Alliance Center of Texas (AACT).

FUTURO RGV

Citizenry group dedicated to the Quality of Life of the Rio Grande Valley.

THE GOOD DEED CORPS

The Good Deed Corps believes that a nation is made stronger when more of its citizens participate in the civic process.
We encourage and inspire citizens in overlooked and under-resourced communities to register to vote, vote, and encourage their friends and family to do the same.

To accomplish this, we bring food, music and passionate, knowledgeable volunteers to meet would-be voters where they are and engage them in relaxed nonpartisan conversations.

Our pilot programs in Atlanta, Savannah, and rural Southeast Georgia helped turn out a record number of voters in the U.S. Senate runoffs in Georgia this year.

We plan to bring the same energy, dedication and resources to Texas (a state 47th in the nation in voter participation) to help set new records for voter turnout in 2022 and 2024.
